Everything at Little Chompions is designed by early childhood development experts. Our feeding specialists have worked with countless children and their families to prepare them for more positive, successful feeding experiences.
In their first year, our little ones are working on so many new skills. Certain products can encourage them to work the muscles and pathways to help acquire those skills! For example, using a straw cup helps build lip, cheek, and tongue strength and a more mature swallowing pattern, as well as promote an appropriate resting position of the tongue for future speech development. A sippy cup on the other hand will encourage a forward tongue resting position, which may result in a frontal lingual lisp.
All Little Chompions products are rigorously evaluated to ensure they promote oral motor, and some fine motor development.
You may find it most helpful to use your baby's due date/adjusted birth date rather than birth date, to identify the appropriate kit for your child. And if you still aren't quite sure, reach out to us. That's what we are here for!
